= 2024w Scaffolding Alert

== Premise
As of May 2024, it has become overly apparent that the average marks in several classes are below average and are not improving. Thus a change in teaching behavior (style) will be attempted. The problem classes are:

* Gao Yi Ai
* Gao Yi Ren
* Gao Yi Qin

The attention and behavior in these classes is poor. In other classes (ex. Gao Yi Zhong, Gao Yi Yi) there is no problem. The problem is unique to the attitude and behavior of the students in the listed classes. Therefore I will adopt the following resolutions:

* 1. Appledog's Three Rules:
** No cellphones or toys in the classroom.
** No speaking Chinese during English class. You can speak English instead.
** You must have your 

* 2. Handout Activities for Every Class
** The students will have their magazine open, and will have nothing else on their desk except a pencil, pencil case, and the sheet. Water bottle ok. There must NOT be piles of books on the table, to reduce distractions and 'hiding'.

* 3. Friendly Attitude for all students
** If a student is breaking the rules, you can go to him and show him the mark sheet, and ask him to put away the (toys), open the book, etc. or they will attain a penalty mark for that class.
** In this and any other situation a smiling and friendly attitude must be given to the students.

* 4. Frequent rewards such as a game or a cartoon.
** Also, we must have some kind of pop-up joke or activity during the class to entertain the students and make them anticipate the English class!

Hopefully with these four efforts we can turn these classes around!
