Today's lesson is “Hsinchu County” from page 16. The general idea for today is to study the first page which contains eight vocabulary words. The students will write this first section in their notebooks, and will write the Chinese in (parentheses) for every word they do not know. Each student will receive one participation point for doing the written work.
We will then ask and answer questions about the text so as to demonstrate their knowledge. Students who can answer one or two questions will receive an additional participation point. I'll keep asking knowledge questions from the text until no one else wants to answer.
Finally, we will play a game such as unscramble the words, or number the sentances, to keep things light!
Today's marks will be based on writing the first half of page 16 with Chinese as stated above.
