Today we followed 'scaffolding for pain and imagination' Live-270-44 yet not a single student turned in the 1 paragraph writing assignment (write paragraph 1) despite having almost 20 minutes to do so. Instead many students slept, played with toys, chatted or did other work. I reminded them two or three times and wrote the assignment on the board so I am sure they understood what they were required to do. Since their lack of work was willful, this poor performance will seriously affect their marks as a class for this semester.
