April 9
- 2nd PP class
- Green Heart Park Presentation Commentary (2,…)
April 16
- Last week was a long weekend.
- Today's lesson: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEuwA7Cbbuc
- That's askvinh's lesson on speaking clearly.
- We will focus on 'over-emphasizing mouth movements' and combine it with glance method.
- Students will read a magazine section or give their presentation but they must over-emphasize the mouth movements.
- I think we can let them have a practice read first, then a normal audio read, then an overemphasize read.
- The pre-read can be used to identify the 'most important sentence' or to pick some sentence to emphasize.
- This sentence will be read slowly and followed by a 3 second pause. Use power-zone pointing to emphasize.
- So there's 5 (!!) things going on here.
- 1. Glance method.
- 2. Overemphasize mouth movements.
- 3. Power zone
- 4. Point to emphasize.
- 5. Change vocal speed to emphasize.
Today's speakers will get participation points:
- 4, 1, 10, 11, 14, 29
